I used my canned tomato sauce and tomato paste. If you do not have those items on your shelf, then store-bought is fine. We will get you working on canning those items up this summer so you can have them on your shelf 🙂
There isn’t much to this recipe so I won’t spend a lot of your time just chatting to take up space.
This sauce is so thick and it is important to use tomato paste. That is what makes it thick. Whenever I can, I use honey in place of sugar. You can use whatever you like.
- 2 6oz jars of tomato paste
- 2 jars of tomato sauce
- 3 TBS Italian Seasoning
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Raw Honey
- Mix all of the ingredients and taste to make sure it is to your liking.
- Put this on your pizza dough and enjoy

Can pizza sauce get canned?
You can can any leftover sauce you may have or freeze it. Bring your water bath canner to a rolling boil and start your timer for 20 minutes for pints.
If you freeze it, put it in a freezer bag and lay it flat. It will take up less space like that.
