Homemade Quick & Easy Butter Biscuits

These biscuits are so easy to make and, the best thing about it- you most likely have everything on hand! That to me is a win-win!

I don’t know about you, but I don’t have all day to spend in the kitchen. So with that being said, let’s get to cooking!

Step One

Pre-heat your oven to 450 degrees. While that is heating up take your butter and put it in the baking dish and melt it in the oven. I use a 12×10 baking pan but, if you need something smaller a 9×9 works also. Please keep an eye on the butter. You just want to melt it…not burn it. I’m not speaking from experience on that…lol!

Step Two

Mix your milk and lemon juice together and let it sit. In a separate bowl mix your flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder together. Once that is mixed add in your milk mixture. Stir really well until it gets doughy.

Step Three

Pour the biscuit dough into the baking pan and spread it around. You want to make sure it is a spread evenly in your pan. Put it in the oven and bake it for 25 minutes. Keep an eye on it and check it at the 20 minute mark. If a fork or knife comes out clean they are ready.

My family loves these biscuits. They are so buttery and delicious. We have eaten them with my homemade jelly and also sausage gravy. I hope you enjoy them as well!
